1) Oil filter:
Ensure you are installing a 16097-0002 and NOT a 16097-1072. The 0002 filter is backwards compatible with other Kawi units that took the 1072 but the 1072 IS NOT forwards compatible.
Make sure you torque the oil filter to 23 ft/lbs.
The above also applies to the 636
2) Valve Adjustment & Shims:
Very important. You must use the shims and shim kit provided for the ZX10R. You CANNOT use other shims. The Ti valves will be destroyed and you will suffer an engine failure if you do not use the correct shims.
