Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Look To Southwick to Keep Up Positive Momentum2022-07-07 09:13Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Jo Shimoda and Seth Hammaker are ready to dive into the sandy circuit of The Wick in Southwick, Massachusetts with Round 6 this weekend marking the halfway point of the Pro Motocross series. Shimoda’s win at RedBud gave him some breathing room in third overall, while Hammaker is looking to make some moves up the ranks from his current seventh place spot. Last weekend was one to remember for Shimoda and will undoubtedly be taking the confidence from two great motos into The Wick. Last year he scored second overall at the facility and is eager to get back to the challenging sand track this weekend. Hammaker has been making strides with his starts and is hoping it will pay off this weekend for a season-best result. “It was a great weekend at RedBud for the team. Jo had a couple of great motos to take the overall win and Seth had two solid starts. Even though he crashed soon into the second moto, consistent starts are something we have been working on so that was a positive. We'll continue working on carrying that speed all the way through the moto. Ryder had a rough start to his first professional moto but made up for it in the second moto being credited with the holeshot. He rode well for roughly 20 minutes before slowing. We expected this and it's one of the reasons he's dipping his toe in the professional ranks early, so he knows where he's at and what he needs to work on. JULY 2022 9 Pro Motocross Championship The Wick Southwick, Massachusetts Broadcast Info MAVTV & FloSports (LIVE) Saturday, July 9 2:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m. ET (250 motos) Current Standings Jo Shimoda - 3rd Seth Hammaker - 7th Looking to Southwick, we will have Jo and Seth only on the track. Ryder will be back at Millville. Jo has been building momentum and will be looking to carry that forward. He placed second overall there (at Southwick) last year. With Seth, we'll look to carry those starts right through the moto. For the team, Southwick is brutal on bikes, so we'll be making a few adjustments to our usual setup to help with durability.” - Iain Southwell, Team Manager.
