Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Jo Shimoda Set for Modified Schedule in Denver2022-04-29 09:56Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Jo Shimoda has his eye on a podium finish this weekend as the Western Regional 250SX Championship hosts its penultimate round in Denver at Empower Field at Mile High. The race will take place much earlier than usual (1 p.m. local time), forcing the riders to undergo track walk and practice the day before on Friday. Shimoda and the team are ready for the unusual schedule and look to use it to their advantage as they dial in the Kawasaki KX250 at Denver’s high altitude. Shimoda also comes off two great starts in Atlanta and a fourth place, giving him confidence as the series takes on the second to last race of the season. And unlike previous stops in the Mile High City, the weather is looking perfect for both Friday and Saturday’s on-track activities. “After a great ride from Austin in Foxborough we're back to the west coast this week in Denver. Jo rode motocross last week with Seth so this week he's back to supercross. Looking to build on his Atlanta performance and take those great starts and leading laps all the way to the finish. It will be a different schedule this week with two practice sessions being held on Friday afternoon and a very early start on Saturday. That will give us a good opportunity to get both Jo and the bike dialed in for the elevated altitude in Denver." - Iain Southwell, Team Manager.
