Shimoda and Forkner to Represent Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki at Atlanta Showdown2022-04-16 09:35Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Jo Shimoda and Austin Forkner will be the team’s representation at the first East/West showdown event of the year held at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The event will mark the return of Forkner who has been sidelined with injury since February. Shimoda has been waiting to return to racing since Seattle two weeks ago, where he narrowly missed out on a podium. He has raced on the red Georgia clay before in 2020 and finished in the top five. It’s been since 2019 that Forkner has lined up in Atlanta, and even with little time on the bike, he’s confident to enjoy a style of track he’s won on in the past (Daytona 2019). “Jo and Austin have been riding together this week along with Jason. Both guys have done some MX riding recently to prep for the faster style track at Atlanta.
