Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Ready to Celebrate Independence Day at Iconic RedBud

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki‘s Austin Forkner and Jo Shimoda will make the annual trip to RedBud in Buchanan, Michigan, for Round 4 this holiday weekend. Other than last year, the circuit has been the primary host to the Pro Motocross round over Fourth of July, bringing out patriotic fans from all over the region to cheer on the riders. This year, the duo of Forkner and Shimoda are hoping the cheers of the fans will give them the boost they need to step onto the podium for the first time in 2021.

It has been three years since Forkner has visited RedBud, and can lean on a second place Moto 2 result the last time he crossed the finish line. Knowing he’s got the speed and comfortability with the track, he’s bringing the confidence he needs to make it his best result this season. Teammate Shimoda is hungry to bounce back from a DNF in Moto 2 at High Point after finishing fourth in Moto 1. The weekend off has only driven him more to be focused on reaching the podium.

“We’ve done well at RedBud in the past so it will be good for Austin to have that boost of confidence when lining up. The fans are unbelievable, which always helps push the guys to make it up on the RedBud podium. At the end of the day, we just want to see improvements week by week and have seen that so far.
