Hard-fought victory for Granado at French Grand Prix2021-05-21 09:00The Brazilian rider earns his first win of the season at Le Mans and achieves ONE Energy Racing's first ever FIM MotoE World Cup victory. alt_text SEE IMAGES alt_text 1st ERIC GRANADO 12:23.012 Eric Granado and ONE Energy Racing rounded off the French Grand Prix with their first victory of the 2021 FIM MotoE World Cup season. A dream weekend at Le Mans had seen the Brazilian rider fastest overall in Free Practice, take pole position on Saturday and claim his fourth win at international level. Thanks to Granado’s win, the ONE Energy Racing achieved his first triumph at the electric series. A change to the weekend schedule meant that the MotoE race was moved from the morning to the afternoon. Granado, who started from pole position, had a difficult start to the race, giving up several positions, although he was able to maintain contact with the leading group. He kept calm and overtook his rivals one by one, to get closer to the podium places. In the final stages of the race, Granado pushed to the fullest and, after setting the fastest lap of the race, reached second position -just behind the leader. In a tight finale, the ONE Energy Racing driver made one last pass coming out of the last corner, to cross the finish line first. The victory places Granado fourth in the overall standings, with 28 points. He will be back in 2021 FIM MotoE World Cup action at the Catalan Grand Prix, from June 4-6th.
