Granado sets the pace at Le Mans2021-05-18 16:16The legendary Le Mans circuit opened its doors this Friday for the opening day of the French Grand Prix, the second round of the FIM MotoE World Cup season. The ONE Energy Racing team continued their excellent form, with rider Eric Granado heading the combined FP1 and FP2 timesheets. The Brazilian established himself as one of the riders to beat this weekend, with a strong and consistent pace. Granado made a good start to the weekend, going fast in the morning despite mixed conditions at the French track due to the rain that fell early in the morning. On his seventh lap of a total of nine, Granado stopped the clock at 1:44.984, allowing him to finish second - less than 50 thousandths of a second off the best time. In the afternoon session, track conditions improved and Granado took advantage to improve his feeling. The Brazilian looked to push to the limit and completed an 11-lap session with an impressive pace. His ninth lap was the fastest of the practice and of the day, his 1:43.909 giving him first place.
