Sunday afternoon saw the last race of the 2020 season for the MotoE World Cup, and the second such contest at the French Grand Prix. Jakub Kornfeil once again put in a solid performance, finishing in 15th position and claiming points for the fourth consecutive race.

The Czech rider started from 13th position on the grid, thanks to the result that the WithU Motorsport rider achieved in Race 1. As he did on Saturday, he avoided several incidents at the start of the race, going on to remain in the points-scoring positions throughout. Kornfeil crossed the line in 15th place, adding a point to his final tally for the season.

WithU Motorsport and Kornfeil's first year together has shown optimal progress throughout the seven races that made up the season. They conclude the 2020 FIM MotoE World Cup 18th, with a total of 15 points.

Matteo Ballarin – Team Principal

"It has not been an easy weekend, nor a simple season. Nevertheless, we know that this has been a transitional year. We expected a little more, but a good job has been done. I want to thank everyone: Jakub and the mechanics and the whole crew. 2020 is over, but we are already working on next season - in which we hope to be stronger and achieve better results. Thank you to everybody."

"I am satisfied with the race. I started from 13th and got a good start. At the first chicane there was an accident, but today I was able to handle it better than yesterday. After the first lap the group at the front escaped, but in the end I was able to catch up with them. I set very consistent laps, riding in the low 1.46s, and I was able to get another point. The conclusion that we draw from the season is that it has been difficult for me, because I started from zero: Everything was new and it was a big challenge for me. If I think about how I was at the test in Jerez, I realise the progress I have made, but my rivals are very strong -so despite having improved it has still been difficult. I'm very happy because I was able to score several points, but of course it could have been better. I still need much more experience and many more kilometres on this bike. I want to thank the team for the opportunity they have given me, because without a doubt it has been a great experience to have participated in this class. The season is over, and my team have done a great job, so I thank them."
