In the end, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders won a supercross title, a motocross title, and helped claim the Chamberlain Trophy at Motocross of Nations. We break down what made it so special and hope you have fun reliving a moment in time we will appreciate forever. 250SX Supercross Western Regional Title The Western Regional class was one that the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team had a grip on, winning from 2004 - 2007 and again in 2010. The season started off just how the team had hoped, with a podium sweep thanks to Josh Hansen grabbing the win and Broc Tickle and Tyla Rattray flanking him on the Anaheim 1 podium. Another win would be added for Hansen in Phoenix the next weekend with Tickle still running right behind him in second. As the rest of the field tried to gain momentum, it was Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders finding the most consistency, a very good ingredient when trying to cultivate a championship. That was the case for Broc Tickle who, while only logging one win in Oakland - remained a fixture on the podium to help him capture his first career title in Las Vegas. While no title was won, Dean Wilson and Blake Baggett combined for four wins with Wilson taking three and finishing second in the championship. 250MX Motocross Title The story of the 2011 250MX Motocross season wasn’t just about first-time champion - Dean Wilson - but the fact that the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team claimed wins at 23 out of 24 motos that year. It was a battle back and forth between Dean Wilson, Tyla Rattray and Blake Baggett. Every single weekend, fans would wonder which Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider would make their way to the top of the podium. The eventual champion Dean Wilson claimed an impressive 11 moto victories, while Baggett grabbed eight and Rattray took four. As a fan of the amazing Mitch Payton-run team, it was fun to watch the teammates duke it out each and every moto, each putting their heart and soul on the track. In the end, it was Wilson who went on a terror run during the second half of the season, claiming the title one round early at Steel City Raceway. Motocross of Nations - Saint Jean d'Angély, France Just one week after the final race of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season, riders from around the world lined up for the Motocross of Nations with one thing on their mind - how can we dethrone Team USA after they’ve won every year since 2005? While the focus might have been on Team USA, which included Blake Baggett, most of the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki crew was in France to compete, with Dean Wilson representing the United Kingdom and Tyla Rattray for South Africa. The pressure of the global event, combined with the unique three-race format was no match for the incredible talent that Team USA brought to France that year, eventually rising above the stiff competition to win their seventh straight Chamberlain Trophy.
