2020 Bike Week At DAYTONA: Entertainment On and Off the Track

From the two-wheel racing inside Daytona International Speedway to the entertainment outside, the “World Center of Racing” will be a major hub of activity during Bike Week At DAYTONA, which begins Friday, March 6 and runs through Sunday, March 15.



Here’s a look at the activities:

・ On the track: Daytona International Speedway boasts a diverse racing schedule including:

§ 50th running of the DAYTONA Supercross, Saturday March 7

§ 11th MX vs ATV All Out Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross At DAYTONA, Sunday, March 8-Monday, March 9

§ The sixth annual ATV Supercross and second annual Vintage Supercross Tuesday, March 10

§ DAYTONA 200/DAYTONA TT:: The second week will feature a racing doubleheader on Saturday, March 14. Traditionally racing two days apart, the dirt-and-asphalt DAYTONA TT and DAYTONA 200, sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association and operated by the American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA), will now run together on the second Saturday of the historic Bike Week At Daytona International Speedway. Fans will be able to enjoy the 79th DAYTONA 200 during the day and stay into the evening to cheer on the athletes of American Flat Track at their season-opening DAYTONA TT.

§ ASRA and the Championship Cup Series (CCS), Friday, March 13-Sunday, March 15: The two series will host a full schedule of road races.

・ Free demo rides: Located in the Midway between the venue and International Speedway Blvd., motorcycle enthusiasts can take the hottest motorcycles for a test ride with free manufacturer demo rides from March 6-14, 9 a.m. �C 5 p.m. Riders must have a DOT-approved helmet and motorcycle endorsement on their driver’s license to participate. Motorcycle manufacturers participating in demo rides include Harley-Davidson, Indian, BMW, Kawasaki, Vanderhall, Slingshot, Suzuki and Yamaha.

・ Midway: Inside the free Midway, motorcycle enthusiasts will find the area’s largest motorcycle marketplace with one-stop shopping with the nation’s top motorcycle parts and apparel vendors all while enjoying live music on the Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley Stage.

・ Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley at Daytona: Bikers can spend the day inside Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley enjoying a cold Budweiser and great food next to the area’s largest vendor, display and demo ride marketplace. Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley will also showcase live music and contests.

・ Full Throttle Magazine Bike Show: The Full Throttle Magazine Bike Show will take place on Saturday, March 14 next to Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley. Registration is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with a $20 entry fee per bike. The awards presentation will be held at 3 p.m. on the Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley Stage. Trophies will be awarded in 10 categories and a $500 cash prize will be given to Best in Show and Judge’s Choice, respectively. The 10 categories include:

○ Paint ○ Custom/Pro Builder ○ Bagger ○ Metric ○ Stock

○ Antique ○H-D Non Bagger ○ Ladies ○ Trike ○ Anything Goes

・ Hot Leathers Fashion Show: The Hot Leathers Fashion Show located in Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley, is scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m.

・ Yaffe’s Baddest Bagger Daytona: The country’s biggest bike show series, presented by Paul Yaffe’s Bagger Nation, will celebrate its 10th year by bringing an all-new show, new classes, new judging, new trophies and new prizes. The show will take place Friday, March 13 next to Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley. Registration is from 10 a.m.-noon with a $30 entry fee. Judging is noon �C 2 p.m. with the awards ceremony taking place at 3 p.m. on the Harley-Davidson Thunder Alley stage. Bikes will be judged based on five classes determined by front-wheel size: Modified, up to 23 inches; Radical, up to 26 inches; Performance, up to 21 inches; Steam Roller Touring, wide front tires 18, 20, 21, 23; Unlimited, no wheel size restriction. Trophies will be presented to the top two baggers in each class along with specialty awards.

・ ONE DAYTONA, located across from Daytona International Speedway and home to shopping, dining and entertainment, will serve as the Official Bike Week Welcome Center. Beginning on March 6, Daytona Regional Chamber ambassadors will be onsite at ONE DAYTONA greeting Bike Week visitors and providing the Official Bike Week Poster. In addition, the American Flat Track Bike Show at ONE DAYTONA Nights is scheduled on March 12, 6-8 p.m. Riders, crews, and motorcycles will be on display for photo opportunities, DJ entertainment and rider question and answer session and more.
