Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Heads East to Colorado With Red Plate2019-05-30 10:26Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo heads into the third stop of the Pro Motocross Series at Thunder Valley MX Park in Lakewood, Colorado, with a six-point lead in the 250 Class championship. Teammate Garrett Marchbanks, who is running in his sophomore motocross season, bounced back to a top-10 finish at Pala and is ready to keep the momentum rolling. Martin Davalos continues to heal up from a Round 1 crash and is hoping to be able to put in a better result in Colorado. Coming off another come from behind overall victory at Pala, Cianciarulo looks to try and capture a Moto 1 victory after earning two Moto 2 wins. One of the main challenges that the riders will face this weekend is the altitude as it will affect both bike and personal stamina. Cianciarulo proved he can conquer both challenges after winning the supercross race in the mile-high city last April. “It will be nice to finally start heading east when it feels like the series starts to gain momentum,” said Cianciarulo. “I’m ready to get to Thunder Valley and try to keep up with the results we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy. I haven’t been able to get that Moto 1 win, but we’ll see what we can do this weekend. It hasn’t really hurt me but it would be nice.” Like Cianciarulo, Marchbanks is ready to get in a groove as the championship heads out of California. The Utah native grew up in higher altitude so he knows what to expect when lining up for the second time in his career at Thunder Valley. His first effort scored him a top-10 finish, a result he would like to continue this weekend. “Last year I was focused on getting comfortable riding at the high pace of the class, but now I’m ready to start turning out better results for the team,” said Marchbanks. “It’s nice to come in with a little more expectation than not knowing what you’re up against, so that will be a great place to start. The team has worked hard to make sure we can run up front. That’s the ultimate goal.” Davalos wasn’t running at 100 percent at the round in Southern California, but is feeling better with each day. The veteran rider is hoping to make the most of the stop in Colorado as he looks for his first top 10 of the season. “It’s always tough to start the season with a bad race and then also to not be fully healthy,” said Davalos. “I’m trying to not let it interfere with my riding and we’re going to go after that top 10 this weekend.” The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs on Friday, May 31 from 6 - 7 p.m. at Sun Enterprises in Thornton, Colorado. Saturday’s race from Thunder Valley MX Park will be broadcast with live Moto 1 races on MAVTV at 3pm ET and then delayed second motos on NBC Sports starting June 2nd at 4 p.m. ET.
