NORRODIN AND SASAKI MOTIVATED FOR MISANO

Following the unfortunate race cancellation at Silverstone, PETRONAS Sprinta Racing riders Adam Norrodin and Ayumu Sasaki are ready and raring to get back on track, at this weekends San Marino Grand Prix.

Situated close to the city of Rimini, the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is renowned for its stop-and-go layout with a serious of corner sequences joined together by short straights. The 4.2km track runs clockwise for the World Championship races and incorporates six left-hand and ten right-hand corners.

“Last year at Misano was quite difficult for me; I struggled all weekend. We just couldn’t find the right set-up to help me to improve. This is what we will have to focus on from the start on Friday. I need to find a better feeling for this circuit. It was disappointing not to race at Silverstone but now I feel even more excited to get back on track. We must get some good points in Italy. Hopefully the conditions will be better this year too and we can make solid progress from FP1 on Friday.”

“It was really disappointing for everyone not to race at Silverstone but safety has to come first. However now I feel even more excited for this weekend because we haven’t raced for over two weeks! I like the Misano track a lot too, so I’m really looking forward to this GP.
At Silverstone I was so happy to announce that I will be riding with the team again next year, so I really want to push hard every race and prove that I can get stronger and stronger. I know that I still have a lot to work on this year, in particularly with my riding and mentality during the practice sessions, so this is what I will be focusing on to improve.”
