Circuit: Silverstone
Circuit Length: 5.9 km

PETRONAS Sprinta Racing riders Adam Norrodin and Ayumu Sasaki head to the Northamptonshire circuit in England, ready to battle their way around the British circuit.

Fully motivated from his superb race in Austria, Ayumu Sasaki will return to the circuit that saw him take his first ever win in the Red Bull Rookies Cup. The 17-year-old hopes to take full advantage of his current momentum and previous experience at the prestigious track.

Teammate Adam Norrodin will be looking for redemption this weekend, after a difficult weekend in Austria. The Malaysian rider is more determined than ever to steer his results back on track and capitalise on his progress over the last year.

#7 ADAM NORRODIN

“I feel really fresh going to Silverstone; I have been training hard in Spain for this weekend, so I feel prepared. The Silverstone track is a combination of fast straights and ‘stop and go’ characteristic; it’s not the easiest circuit, but I had quite a good race there last year; I went from 25th to 12th place; it was probably one of my best races in 2017. One of the main things I need to focus on this weekend is my qualifying; I know that I can race well at this track, so I need to make sure I start from a good position and have the best possible chance to fight with the front guys.”
#71 AYUMU SASAKI

“I’m excited to get to Silverstone after such a positive race in Austria. I really like the track in England too; it’s one of my favourites and I have good memories from the Red Bull Rookies Cup there.
I have to again focus on riding alone on Friday; I struggled a lot with this in Austria and its definitely not my strong point, but I know now how important it is. This is what I will be trying to improve during the practice sessions this weekend. I hope that I can get up to speed quickly and improve consistently, ready for race day.”
