TLD’s Seely Earns First Overall Podium at Muddy Unadilla

Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely claimed his first overall podium of the year with another moto podium ride at Unadilla MX in upstate New York. The muddy weather provided for unpredictable conditions when the riders went out for Moto 2, but Seely was up to the challenge and rode to a sixth place finish for a 3-6 moto result for third overall.



The opening moto started out great for Seely who ran up front as the rain started to fall. After most of the moto had been completed, the race was called because of lightning in the area. When it was called, Seely was third. When a long delay for heavy rain was complete, Seely rode to a solid sixth-place and claimed his first overall podium of the season in third.

“I was determined to ride a steady race and it paid off in the first moto,” said Seely. “It was a race to survive in Moto 2 and I am pumped to be able to get an overall podium. I feel like we’ve been able to get better and better each race so I hope we can continued this trend.”



Seely was also selected for his first appearance at the Motocross of Nations this October in Great Britain. He will represent the United States as the MX1 rider aboard his Honda CRF450R machine.


Seely will go after another podium finish next weekend at Budds Creeks in Mechanicsville, Maryland on August 19.
