Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Brace For Rain This Weekend At Muddy Creek

With Tropical Storm Cindy on path towards Tennessee, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team braces for a wet and muddy Round 5 at fittingly named Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville. Races like this normally level the playing field, giving any rider a chance to shine in what is expected to be interesting conditions. Austin Forkner, Joey Savatgy, Adam Cianciarulo and Justin Hill are prepared to take full advantage of the circumstances.



Since the start of the season, Forkner has shown consistency aboard his Kawasaki KX250F. With only one race outside the top six, it’s only a matter of time before Forkner’s breakout moment. The conditions could play into his favor and he is more than eager to bring home his first win of the season.

“We really don’t know what we’ll face this weekend because weather can always change, but I’ll be ready for anything,” said Forkner. “I have been close to grabbing a podium finish and I’m ready to be up on the box. We’ll have to see what happens when the gate drops.”




Savatgy already knows the sweet taste of victory this season and would love to climb back to the top again this weekend. He showed his grit last weekend when he came back after a mistake and if those are kept to a minimum, Savatgy is sure to rise to the top.

“I didn’t get into my groove last weekend so I’m focused on putting my head down in Tennessee,” said Savatgy. “If the conditions end up being bad, it will be about minimizing mistakes. We aren’t that far back in the point and races like this tend to be game changers so we want to be there (at the front).”




Cianciarulo’s weekend was off to a good start last week before having to come through the pack in Moto 2. He accomplished his third top 10 of the season, but is still looking to make it up to the overall podium. Cianciarulo’s never-quit attitude could be helpful this weekend when the track is at its worst.

“I’ve been ready to be on top of the box all season and I think this weekend will be a good opportunity for me, no matter what the conditions are,” said Cianciarulo. “For one reason or another, we’ve been just off the podium. Getting a good start will be really important this weekend.”




Hill has seen the top 10 in three motos this season and knows he can be a constant factor. Native to the Pacific Northwest, Hill is looking to take his knowledge of riding in less than desirable conditions to break back into the top 10 once again.

“Obviously blue skies and a perfectly groomed track are what we love to see, but the challenge is to be ready for anything and we will be,” said Hill. “I am not afraid of some rain and a muddy track. It would be great to see my experience help me push back into the top 10.”
