TLD’s Seely Returns To Action To Score Eighth Overall

Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely made his return to racing after sitting out with an injury to earn a hard-fought eighth overall. His moto finishes included a ride just off the podium in fourth and then a 12th in Moto 2.

Seely was very enthusiastic about returning to racing after sitting out several rounds at the end of the supercross season. He didn’t forget how to race with the front-runners as he raced to a fourth place result in Moto 1. During the second moto, he didn’t get the start he wanted and while still nursing some soreness from a qualifying crash, managed to maintain 12th. The 4-12 result placed him eighth overall to kick off the season.

“It was a day of ups and downs, but we’ll take it after having a pretty big get off in qualifying practice in the morning,” said Seely. “I felt good in Moto 1, but it caught up with me in the second moto. We’ll regroup and come back strong next weekend.”

The next Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship takes place next weekend at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California.
