Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Ready For Big Weekend at Season Finale in Las Vegas2017-05-04 08:01Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki will host its entire field of riders at the season finale at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Newly crowned Western Regional 250SX Champion Justin Hill, Joey Savatgy, and Adam Cianciarulo will all be gunning for one more supercross win in 2017, while Austin Forkner is ready to collect his first career win on Saturday night. WESTERN REGION With nothing to lose, Hill will be giving it everything he’s got to finish out the season on top. He already has four wins tallied this season, but another victory would be icing on the cake. He’s landed on the podium once before in Las Vegas and feels confident he can do it again. “Coming into Vegas with the championship already wrapped up will help me have fun and try to get that last win of the season,” said Hill. “It’s been amazing to let the championship sink in and I am beyond grateful for the whole team for sticking behind me.” Forkner will experience his first-ever Las Vegas Monster Energy Supercross final this weekend, but he’s no stranger to the dirt and track style at Sam Boyd Stadium. The Monster Energy Cup Supermini and All-Star champion has won many times as an amateur and is looking forward to using that experience to earn his first professional supercross win. “Vegas has been good to me in the past and it would be great to get another win here,” said Forkner. “We’ve worked really hard this season and have the momentum to make it happen. We’ll see what the weather and track look like on Saturday, but I’m excited to be racing this weekend.” The winner of last year’s Las Vegas supercross is eyeing a repeat in 2017. Savatgy enters the final race of the season only one point down from the championship leader and after losing out the championship by the same deficit last year, he’s going all out on Saturday. “We’ve had tough races before and I am not going to let it bring me down,” said Savatgy. “I am focused on doing what I did last year, and win the race. That’s all I can do right now, and with my incredible team behind me, I know we can do it.” EASTERN REGION Like Forkner, Cianciarulo has only competed in Las Vegas as an amateur. Even with the lack of track time on the Las Vegas dirt, Cianciarulo has won the Monster Energy Cup Supermini class and taken second in the Amateur All-Stars. His up and down season has left him hungry to earn one more win before the season concludes. “It’s been an interesting year and there would be no better way to end it than with a win,” said Cianciarulo. “We’ve worked really hard and have made just a few mistakes that cost us. Even though I’ve never ridden the Las Vegas final, I know we can come out with another win.” The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team will be signing autographs at Carter Motorsports in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, May 5 from 6-7 p.m. The broadcast for the race will be on the FS1 Network starting at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
