SIC RACING TEAM READY TO BATTLE IN ARGENTINA

SIC Racing Team make their way to South America for round two of the MotoGP World Championship.

Termas de Río Hondo holds bitter sweet memories for Adam Norrodin following the dramatic and heroic end to the 2016 Moto3 Grand Prix. Remembered by many for his courageous battle for a podium finish that was cruelly taken away from him in the final corner, Norrodin returns to Argentina determined and motivated to fight for what he lost last time around.

Riding the circuit for the first time, fierce newcomer to the category Ayumu Sasaki heads to Argentina confident he can improve on his superb eleventh place finish at Qatar.
Strong throughout his debut Grand Prix with the team, the sixteen-year-old rider has already shown his strength amongst the field and undeterred by his rookie status, will be one to look out for this weekend!

Located in the Province of Santiago del Estero, the Latin American circuit is renowned for being tough on tyres due to the high speeds, hard braking zones and high camber angles. The fast layout combines five left-hand and nine right-hand corners, challenging riders to reach the highest average speeds of the year.

“I hope that in Argentina we can progress like we did in Qatar. Both riders have taken some big steps forward and we can see we have good speed and that the Honda is working well, so we’re feeling positive.
Argentina is a very nice track and it’s not so difficult, so hopefully it will be easy for Ayumu to learn. Last year we had a good race there with Adam and as we know, anything can happen! We will try to improve from our results in Qatar and if possible, get both riders into the top ten. We have a rookie in the team and Adam who is starting his second year, so we need to have some patience but still we are confident that both riders can be competitive!”


#7 ADAM NORRODIN

“I’m feeling quite confident about going to Argentina. We had a good weekend at Qatar; always not far away from the top, good set-up and a positive race result, so I’m very motivated for this next race. Also because it’s a track I like a lot! Last year we were competitive from the start; I felt really good with the track. I’ve learned a lot since then and I feel like my riding has improved too, so I can’t wait to get out there and see what we can do this time.
It’s the start of a long season so for sure we must continue to work hard, stay focussed and always keep pushing to improve more.”
#71 AYUMU SASAKI

“I’m looking forward to Argentina! I’ve never ridden there before but from what I’ve seen on TV and from the PlayStation, it looks good. I will follow my teammate Adam in the first practice to learn the track quickly and then it’s up to me to find my rhythm and push hard. We already know what we need to do to our set-up to improve it more from Qatar, so I think we can do better at this next GP and have a stronger race.”
