Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Ready For Unique Track Inside Ford Field

2017-03-24 20:08
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo and Joey Savatgy have shown plenty of persistence already this season and both riders are ready to make the most of the sixth round of the Eastern Regional 250SX Championship in Detroit. Unique to the 17 round Monster Energy Supercross season, the layout for the track at Ford Field will take the riders into the stands as they do a 180-degree turn after a long start straight. Savatgy and Cianciarulo will be focused on getting their powerful Pro Circuit-tuned Kawasaki KX250F race machines to that first turn ahead of the field, eager to put the team back on top of the podium.

Over the course of the past five races, Savatgy has shown that he can overcome adversity as he continues to work towards the dream of his first championship. His two runner-up finishes in the past two races puts him within reach, down just nine points with four races remaining.

“I’m really looking forward to Detroit and hopefully we’ll be able to make up some valuable points,” said Savatgy. “There is still plenty of racing left and I’m going to fighting until the very end for that championship.”

Cianciarulo rode with noticeable heart in Indianapolis and is ready for redemption in Detroit. His never-give-up attitude will soon pay off as he eyes another podium finish, this time at Ford Field where he earned his third-career win.

“After getting my first win in a long time, it felt amazing and I want to have that feeling again,” said Cianciarulo. “Winning races is not easy and we’re working really hard to make sure we get back up there [on top of the podium] again before the end of the season.”

Savatgy and Cianciarulo don’t have an autograph signing on Friday night, but you can meet them at the track on Saturday. The broadcast for the race can be found on FS1 or the Fox Sports Go app starting at 7 p.m. EDT.
