Former 500cc World GP Champion Kevin Schwantz has tested the new 2017 GSX-R1000R production machine and has rated it the best, most technically-advanced motorcycle that he’s ever ridden.
The 1993 title-winner put the machine through its paces at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in Southern California and appraised the new MotoGP-derived production machine in all main areas, that included the variable valve timing, the quick-shift (GSX-R1000R), ergonomics, new chassis design, Brembo radial mount brake callipers, Showa BFF forks, ride-by-wire and advanced electronics.
