Movistar Yamaha MotoGP confirms its commitment to health & safety and environmental management this weekend at the Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini as a supporting company of the “KiSS Misano” programme.

Together with Misano World Circuit and FIM (International Motorcycling Federation), in cooperation with Dorna (the Spanish company holding the rights for the World Motorcycling Championship) and IRTA (The International Road Racing Teams Association), Yamaha will encourage the public to get involved in environmental awareness initiatives, such as correct waste sorting practices and fighting against food waste, and sustainable living habits, by promoting sustainable mobility and accessibility, as well as promoting a charity auction in benefit of the population hit by the recent earthquake in Central Italy.

Similar to “KiSS Mugello”, Movistar Yamaha MotoGP feels it‘s important to be involved and will additionally support the “KiSS Misano” project by donating two YZR-M1 front cowls, #46 signed by Valentino Rossi and #99 signed by Jorge Lorenzo to be auctioned on the CharityStars online platform (www.charitystars.com/kissmisano2016) starting from Monday, September 12, for a period of 15 days.

Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.‘s Italian subsidiary Yamaha Motor Italy will also join the charity auction. They have donated a 2016 “Movistar Yamaha MotoGP #46” replica livery YZF-R1 motorcycle signed by Rossi, who is an Environmental Ambassador for FIM.

Fans attending the San Marino Grand Prix are also asked to share their “KiSS Misano” experience to further raise awareness about social and environmental sustainability. A dedicated Twitter account @KiSSMisano has been launched. Fans are asked to use the official KiSS Misano hashtag, #kissmisano, in combination with the Gran Premio San Marino e Riviera di Rimini‘s official hashtags: #sanmarinoGP, #impossibilenonesserci and #theridersland.
