Jerry Savoie NHRA PSM team report: Savoie Sits Second at Etown

2016-06-11 07:11
Jerry Savoie and the White Alligator Racing team sit number 2 in a large 24-bike field of Pro Stock Motorcycle teams with one day of qualifying to go for the NHRA Summernationals in Englishtown, New Jersey.

Savoie blistered Old Bridge Township Raceway Park’s legendary quarter mile with a 6.788—just .005 of a second behind three-time champ Eddie Krawiec’s leading pass. Savoie’s 198.26 mph speed is just .12 slower than top speed holder Chip Ellis on a weekend that Krawiec thinks will set a new record for fastest PSM field ever.

WAR crew chief/tuner Tim Kulungian will have two more shots today starting at 1:45 pm to tweak Savoie’s Suzuki TL1000 and knock New Jersey native Krawiec off the top spot in advance of Sunday’s eliminations.

If you can’t be at the track, watch Savoie and WAR qualify on Fox Sports 1 at 1:00 am Eastern time on Sunday morning June 12, followed by eliminations at 4:30 pm.

Jerry Savoie thanks everyone at Vance & Hines, E3 Spark Plugs, PJ1, Mr. Race Oil, tuner Kulungian, crewmen Jeremy Derouche and Steve Zellman, his whole family, and the staff of Savoie Alligator Farm.
