This Week in Monster Energy Supercross: World's Best Riders Make Their Debut LIVE on FOX at MetLife Stadium2015-04-24 13:19Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, will reach a historic milestone on Saturday with the first-ever live network television broadcast on FOX, beginning at 3 p.m. EDT / Noon PST from East Rutherford, New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. The championship's second visit to the home of the NFL's New York Giants and New York Jets has been one of the most anticipated races on the 2015 schedule ever since the groundbreaking announcement with FOX was made. With its mid-afternoon start time, the world's best riders will face a unique challenge, which should make for one of the most exciting races of the season. Newly crowned 450SX Class Champion Ryan Dungey raced to his seventh victory of the season last weekend at Monster Energy Supercross' inaugural visit to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Red Bull KTM rider will be in search of his first win in the New York area on Saturday. The return to MetLife also signifies the final race of the Eastern Regional 250SX Class Championship. Currently, Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin holds a comfortable 20-point lead in the championship standings thanks to five wins in seven races, and he appears to be headed to his first career title on U.S. soil. The KTM tandem of Dungey and Musquin have been perfect complements to one another in the seven races that the 450SX Class and Eastern Regional 250SX Class have coincided. The dominant duo has posted identical results to one another, with five wins and a pair of runner-up finishes. They'll look to continue this unique and historic trend, hopefully celebrating Musquin's championship along with it.
