The TEAM HRC ready for the Merzouga Rally

Helder Rodrigues and Sam Sunderland have passed today the administrative and technical checks of the Merzouga Rally that will start in Erfoud tomorrow and ended on next Saturday. The race will involve new testing with the CRF450 RALLY that already won at his debut the OilLybia Morocco Rally .

Following the successful outcome OiLibya Rally of Morocco, where the TEAM HRC won the race and gets the FIM World Championship Cross-Country Rallyes title at the hands of Paulo Goncalves, TEAM HRC is preparing their riders for next Dakar. In this case, Helder Rodrigues and Sam Sunderland take the new Honda CRF450 RALLY at the Moroccan land again, racing the fourth edition of the Merzouga Rally.

The race, with a total of 1109 kilometers, will start on Monday January 21 with the celebration of a 'Warm Up' and a prologue, which will decide the starting order for the next day's stage.

This will be our second rally with the new Honda CRF450 RALLY, it will be good for me in order to get more time on the bike, with road books, nagivation, and with the team. I would like to do a good results and enjoy the race. We will also test same small details towards Dakar.

I’m really happy to have the opportunity to race one more rally before Dakar, I will understand more the bike and allows us to build the best atmosphere with our team and mechanics. Also I will have more time with the road book, and the new bike that is already really competitive. Dakar is our main goal but Merzouga rally will help me a lot to be prepared for the race of the year.

It is good for our team to make one more week of race in order to prepare Dakar. We will race with Helder and Sam in order to do same more testing on the new bike but also looking for a good results also here in Merzouga.
