Entries coming thick and fast for Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup2013-08-31 20:14Right up until 22nd September, entries can still be lodged for the first ever Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup of 2014, as applications continue to flood in from Asian motorcycling hopefuls ahead of next month’s selection event in Malaysia. The registration process opened on 18th August and applications have already been received from Indonesia, India, Singapore, the Philippines, Turkey, Nepal, China, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Israel and Thailand. Once the application window has closed, entries will be chosen to take part in the final selection event to be staged at the Sepang International Circuit on 14-15th October, the Monday and Tuesday immediately after the MotoGP™ Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix. It is then that 22 aspiring hopefuls will be selected to take part in the inaugural Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup of 2014. Led in part by renowned and successful talent scout Alberto Puig, responsible for such talents as Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa and the leader of the successful MotoGP™ Academy, the competition will see Asia’s stars of the future participate in a six-race series in 2014 on Honda NSF250R Moto3 machines. The races will be staged in Qatar, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, India and China.
