Blake Baggett to Make Monster Energy Cup Debut on a 450cc Motorcycle

Feld Motor Sports® announced today that Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett, of Grand Terrace, Calif., will race in the second annual Monster Energy Cup at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium on October 20.

Baggett, 20, has won three Supercross Lites Class Main Events in his professional career and recently finished fourth in the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites Class Championship. Baggett also finished fourth in 2011, where he scored two wins and an additional six podium finishes. While Baggett is a Supercross Lites Class rider, he will be riding a 450cc motorcycle at this year’s Monster Energy Cup, marking the first time he will ride the machine in professional competition.

“A million dollars up for grabs – that is probably the coolest thing I have ever heard of, and to be a part of that would be a cool thing. I don’t have much time on a 450cc, but when the time comes, we’ll put a little bit of time into it.”
