TEILLET BACK IN SUZUKI MX2 SADDLE

In front of a bumper 14,000 attendance packed around the slopes of Aichwald for the fourth round of eight in the German ADAC MX Masters, Valentin Teillet proved he was back in good shape and on fast form by taking the Suzuki Europe MX2 RM-Z250 to fifth place overall in the mixed International category of MX1 and MX2 machinery.

The Frenchman was able to swing his leg over the potent race-bike for the first time since his fall at the opening Grand Prix of the season in Bulgaria that led to a shoulder injury. The former European Champion attacked the course close to Stuttgart that offers a quick layout with steep ascent and descents and finished fifth and ninth in the two motos.

"It was a really good day, a big meeting and Valentin was showing some crazy speed; in fact we had to ask him to take it easy because he was flying around the slopes on the 250 and even went to pass Evgeny Bobryshev twice who took the overall victory," commented Team Manager Thomas Ramsbacher. "The track was not easy and the previous year we had a tough time with Roczen and Tonus trying to make positions. He had some arm-pump in the first moto as well a small crash but he recovered to fifth. In the next race he broke his gear shifter when he hit a section of the trackside that meant he couldn't get higher than ninth. Anyway, it was good to be back and in an encouraging way. We are now looking forward to Sweden."

After three Grands Prix offering European 125cc two-stroke series leader Simone Zecchina a chance for FIM World Championship experience, Suzuki Europe MX2 will now be able to throw Teillet's number back on the front of the RM-Z250 for the Swedish round of the MX2 category this weekend at Uddevalla. Words from Teillet on his GP return will appear this week in the preview for the upcoming Swedish outing.
