From Creek to Creek, Öhlins Aides Young Guns’ MX National Qualifying

East Coast motocross racers Garret Toth and Aden de Jager qualified for last weekend’s AMA Pro Motocross Championship round at Spring Creek Motocross, sporting Öhlins suspension components. Honda rider Toth made the grid of 40 bikes in 36th, while de Jager Q’d up in 39th. For each of these privateer riders it was a great success to make the grid of a national.

Preparing for this event, Toth and de Jager were assisted by Öhlins USA technicians during tests at MX tracks in the weeks leading up to the Spring Creek event. Last week Toth tested and tuned his Öhlins TTX 44 shock and fork cartridge kit at Birch Creek Motorsports Park, outside Danville, Virginia. He was assisted there by Öhlins USA technicians Marty Lange and Stig Pettersson, assessing data and making adjustments to his Honda CFR 450. The private MX training facility, Sky Top MX Ranch, in Florida, provided sponsorship to make Toth’s test possible.

The results of this past weekend’s Spring Creek MX, in Millville, Minnesota, include Toth’s two finishes of 23rd in Moto 1 and 22nd in Moto 2 on his Honda. Racer de Jager earned a 25th in Moto 1 and broke into the top-20 in Moto 2 with a 20th place finish on his Kawasaki KX 450F. Öhlins USA congratulates the exceptional performance of each of these east-coast privateers.

Öhlins USA regularly assists these riders through technical support at all East Coast MX rounds, with Öhlins USA technicians and Öhlins certified service personnel. The next East Coast round of the national MX series that Toth and de Jager hope to attend is Round 10 at Unadilla in New Berlin, New York, August 14.
