Thor/Parts Unlimited: Weekend Wrap-Up2010-03-15 19:12To say the past week was a busy one for Thor would be an understatement. An entire week in Texas kicked-off of the amateur nationals season, where a handful of Thor riders took home championships. Cole Thompson (Schoolboy 12-16), Greg Schnell (Vet Expert 25/30+), Jessy Nelson (250 B Stock and Open Amateur), Matt Tedder (Sr. 50+), and Lance Kobusch (51 Stock 7-8) were just some of the Thor riders standing atop the podium over the weekend at the Lake Whitney Spring Classic. The amateur motocross coverage isn’t going to stop in Lake Whitney either. This weekend, Thor TV will be headed to Oak Hill MX in Decatur, Texas where we will welcome our newest host for the show, Cooper Webb (above). Webb is one of the top amateur motocross riders in the country and was gracious enough to accept our invitation to host Thor TV at Oak Hill later this week. You can learn more about Webb and the other amateur riders by visiting thormx.com and clicking on the “riders” link. We’ll have the reaction and footage from Cooper’s interviews with riders later in the week. The winning ways didn’t end in Texas this weekend. Ryan Villopoto scored his fifth victory of the Monster Energy Supercross season and is now only 17 points in the championship fight. Villopoto will look to go for his sixth overall win and third in a row this weekend in Dallas where Thor TV will also be there to broadcast from the pits outside of the brand-new Cowboys Stadium. Courtesy of Frank Hoppen In the East Coast Lites Class, both Christophe Pourcel and Dean Wilson had solid performances, finishing third and fourth, respectively. That keeps Christophe in the overall lead with Dean Wilson not far behind in third. The title still remains very much up for grabs and you can count on both these Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki riders to be in the thick of it at the end of the season. Remember to purchase your Grid Core kit ASAP! The gear is going fast, so be sure to visit your local Parts Unlimited dealer soon. ### Follow Us: About Parts Unlimited Parts Unlimited is the world's largest distributor of aftermarket accessories in the powersports industry and is owned by LeMans Corporation headquartered in Janesville, Wisconsin.
