The first ever Eastern Regional AMA Supercross Lites race was held in Atlanta, February 23, 1985. Eddie Warren would win on a Kawasaki.



Eddie Warren was the first rider to win an Eastern Regional AMA Supercross Lites title, riding aboard a Kawasaki.



Ricky Carmichael, Chad Reed, and James Stewart are the only riders to win an Eastern Regional AMA Supercross Lites class championship and an AMA Supercross class championship.



Mickael Pichon, of France, was the first non-American rider to win an Eastern Regional AMA Supercross Lites class championship. Others non-American riders to win the championship are: Ernesto Fonseca, of Costa Rica, Stephane Roncada, of France, Chad Reed, of Australia, Ben Townley, of New Zealand, and Christophe Pourcel, of France.



In 1997, Tim Ferry won the Eastern Regional AMA Supercross Lites class title without winning a single main event.



Since 1985 the rider that won the first race of the Eastern regional AMA Supercross Lites class championship went on to win the title in 19 out of 25 seasons.



Suzuki has won the opening race of the Eastern Regional AMA Supercross Lites class championship 11 times.

AMA Supercross Class Stats in Indianapolis
The first race was held March 21, 1992, and Jeff Stanton won on a Honda.



There has never been a first-time winner in Indianapolis.

This will be the 19th time the gate will drop for an AMA Supercross race in Indianapolis.

This will be the second race at the new Lucas Oil stadium.

Indiana native Mike LaRocco won the last AMA Supercross class race of his career in Indianapolis on a Honda.

LaRocco won his first AMA Supercross class race in 1991, and there are 14 seasons in between his first win and last win.

AMA Supercross Class Recap from Anaheim 3
Ryan Villopoto earned his second win of the season and the fourth of his career. He is now tied with Donnie Hansen, Darrel Shultz, Doug Henry, and Jim Weinert on the all-time AMA Supercross class win list.



Josh Hill earned his fourth consecutive second place finish of the season and his fifth consecutive podium.



Ryan Dungey earned his fifth top five finish of the season.



Justin Brayton has earned a top 10 finish in every race this year with his best finish in San Diego, where he earned a fifth.



Davi Millsaps has also earned top 10 finishes in every race, including a win in San Diego.



For the first time since 2002, and only the second time since Anaheim has hosted three races, three different riders won Anaheim 1, Anaheim 2, and Anaheim 3. In 2002, it was David Vuillemin, Mike LaRocco, and Ricky Carmichael. This year it was James Stewart, Ryan Dungey, and Ryan Villopoto won races in Anaheim.
