KTM's Barragan looking good for Sunday's MX1 GP in Bulgaria

KTM rider Jonathan Barragan of Team Silver Action sent a signal of his intentions for Sunday's Mx1 GP in Sevlievo, Bulgaria with a comfortable third place in Saturday's qualifying.

"I had a good start and got the holeshot and I was leading for the first five or six laps," the Spanish rider said after the qualifier. "Then I made a mistake and hit a stone and had a small crash. I slipped back to fifth or sixth place and eventually finished third. This was a good day for me, the track is hard and fast and that's how I like it."

Jonathan was a front runner in last year's GP here in Bulgaria but a crash in the second moto meant he had to settle for a podium second, a result he hopes to improve on in Sunday's race.

Fifth place in qualifying for KTM's Nagl
Fellow factory rider Max Nagl of Germany finished in fifth in Saturday's qualifier. Aside from still suffering some pain from a recent hand injury, Max said he was quite satisfied with his fifth place. "I was eleventh in the pre-qualifying then I had a good start in the qualifying race. But then I was a little too late on the brake going into the corner and dropped back to about fifth and that's okay and we'll see what happens on Sunday."
