National Enduro Series - 6th round Jonestown, PA

2008-07-22 06:15
Red Bull KTM Factory rider Mike Lafferty took home his second win in a row since returning from a mid-season ankle injury at the 6th round of the AMA National Enduro Series.

Lafferty's day started well and ended well as he had the fastest time at all six checks. "I won't say it was an easy win, because it wasn't," commented the eight-time National Enduro Champ. "The course was tough and incredibly rocky." Lafferty continuously stressed that in order to do well on a course this challenging it takes weeks of preparation in similar conditions. "I trained the past three weeks in nothing but large rocks and it paid off today. I can't think my team enough for their help and support."

Lafferty's teammate Russell Bobbitt also rode well but struggled a bit in the rocks losing time in a couple tests. He eventually finished 5th overall. Bobbitt still holds the points lead with a one point advantage over Lafferty.
