Pirelli Riders Crowd Formula Xtreme Top-Ten at Miller

Rome, Georgia - At round six of the 2007 AMA Superbike series, at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, Pirelli riders claimed four of the top ten places in the Formula Xtreme final, in the high heat of the high desert south of the salt flats.

With the temperature banging against 100 degrees, Attack Kawasaki's Ben Attard led the Pirelli charge in Formula Xtreme on his ZX-6R, finishing next to the foot of the podium in 4th place, 2.7 seconds behind race-winner Aaron Gobert. A few tenths behind Attard in 5th was Martin Cardenas riding a GSX-R600 for Team M4 EMGO Suzuki, moving forward in the race from his 7th-place qualifying position, again showing why he earned the ride made available by the injured Michael Barnes. Steve Rapp, Attard's Attack Kawasaki teammate, was 6th while Cory West took 9th on his Chuck Giacchetto-prepared Team Hunter Yamaha R-6, and Taylor Knapp placed 12th on a 2Xtreem Kawasaki, all using Pirelli Diablo Superbike Slicks.

In Supersport qualifying for Sunday's race, M4 EMGO Suzuki's Geoff May earned a place on the front row in 4th, with his teammate Martin Cardenas on row three in 10th. The Attack Kawasaki riders, Steve Rapp and Ben Attard secured the 7th and 11th spots on the grid while Cory West placed 12th, putting five Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa riders on the first three rows of the Supersport grid.

Superstock qualifying saw Geoff May nab 5th on the grid with the consistently top-running Robertino Pietri and Chris Ulrich laying down the 7th and 9th fastest times on their Roadracingworld.com Suzuki GSX-R1000s. Scott Jensen was 10th quickest and in Saturday's Superbike race Jensen finished 12th, which placed him as the number-two finishing privateer.
