After a solid Friday Practice session where he clinched a direct access to Q2, in today‘s Qualifying, Izan Guevara secured the 11th fastest time overall with a lap of 1‘35”156. However, after a very good first chrono, he was unable to improve in the final time attack, losing a few positions on the grid. Despite his starting position, Izan has shown a consistent pace, which should allow him to fight among the frontrunners in tomorrow‘s race, set to begin at 13.15 local time (7.15 CET) at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram.

Meanwhile, Tony Arbolino has faced a more challenging weekend so far. After missing out on direct access to Q2 on Friday, he was unable to secure one of the four available spots in Q1 today to advance to Q2 and compete for pole position. With a best time of 1‘35”239, Tony will start from 20th on the grid. However, his race pace suggests he has the potential to recover positions during the race.
ALEX DE ANGELIS

Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"I am quite satisfied with this first qualifying session for the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 team, although the grid positions could have been better. Izan did a great job setting his best time while riding alone on his first attempt, but unfortunately, in his second run, he struggled with low rear grip, which prevented him from improving. Beyond the starting position, I am also pleased with the progress Tony has shown. His ideal lap time on a flying lap would have allowed him to reach Q2 and fight for better positions on the grid, but unfortunately, he never managed to put together the perfect lap. However, the work we did in FP2 helped us resolve some of the issues we had in the time attack. As for race pace, both riders have consistently shown they are very fast, which gives me confidence going into the race."

"I am satisfied with today‘s result. During FP2, we maintained a strong pace, completing 18 laps on used tires to simulate the level of wear they would have at the end of the race. I‘m happy with how I managed my rhythm. We are working on small details, and I‘m feeling good. In qualifying, I only managed one fast lap but still achieved a good result. I expected to get closer to the group in the following laps, but it was more challenging than I had anticipated. I didn‘t achieve as much as I had hoped, but this was still one of my best qualifying sessions in Moto2. I‘m excited and looking forward to tomorrow‘s race!"
TONY ARBOLINO

BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Rider
“I‘m happy with the feeling I had on the bike, but not with the final result in Q1. Unfortunately, today was somewhat affected by the strategic mistakes we made on Friday, which have penalized us up to this point. I‘m convinced that I could have made it to Q2, but I paid the price for a few small errors. In any case, what matters most are the sensations on the bike. My race pace is good, and I‘m confident I can have a strong race.”
