Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Cameron McAdoo Continues Podium Streak in Detroit

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Cameron McAdoo made the most of a tough start to race through the pack and finish as the runner up at Round 4 of the Eastern Regional 250SX Championship inside Ford Field. McAdoo has now been on the podium at each round and sits eight points out of the lead.
The track in Detroit proved to be challenging throughout the night, but McAdoo made the most of his time around the circuit. In his heat race, he made it up to second, giving him a good gate pick for the main. When the gate dropped for the main event, McAdoo found himself pinched off around the first turn and came through around 10th. He quickly made some moves and got up to sixth by the end of the first lap.
By the third lap, McAdoo had moved into third and was patient to close the gap on second. Just over halfway through the race McAdoo started to put the pressure on, eventually forcing a mistake and allowing him to make a clean pass in the whoops. He tried to bridge the gap to the leader but time ran out and McAdoo claimed his fourth podium finish in as many races.
“The track was really tricky tonight and I didn’t put myself in the best position with that start,” said McAdoo. “That’s going to be the key moving forward because overall I feel good on the bike, but I can’t let Jett get away like that and not really have a chance to fight for the win. We’ll go back this week and really try to put in some work on my starts. Hopefully, we can put it all together next weekend in Indy.”
