PETRONAS Sprinta Racing’s riders Xavi Vierge and Jake Dixon are ready to face the first round of the final triple-header of the 2020 Moto2 season. The Gran Premio de Europa will see the pair in action at Circuit Ricardo Tormo for two back-to-back races, before the final round of the year at Portimão one week later.
Although Vierge has never stepped on the GP podium at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, the Spaniard did start from the front row in 2018. The short break between the Teruel GP and the European GP this weekend has given Xavi time to continue his physiotherapy and aid the recovery of his two fractured feet, as he looks to finish the 2020 season on a high.
Valencia is another circuit that Dixon has only ridden at once before, but the Brit enjoyed a successful Grand Prix at the Spanish circuit last year, earning one of his best race results of 2019 – 13th. Hoping to maintain his recent good form, Jake will be aiming to continue his run of good results at the final three rounds of the year.
Vierge and Dixon will kick off their Moto2 European GP with Free Practice 1 at 11.55am local time (6.55pm MYT) on Friday, with the lights going out for Sunday’s 25-lap race at 12.20pm local time (7.20pm MYT).

It wasn’t an easy two weekends at Aragón, but I have been able to rest a bit since then and recover some more, before the final three rounds start this weekend. The recovery process from my injuries is much better every week. The bruises on my feet have reduced a lot and I started to train on the cycling rollers last week.
The team have worked so hard on the bike and we know that we are capable of running at the front. I really hope that we can get the results that we deserve and I am looking forward to being back on my bike again. I want to try to finish in the top positions again and I think these final three races will be good ones.
