IM Motocross World Championships: Changes to the 2011 Regulations

The Motocross/SuperMoto Grand Prix Commission, composed of Messrs Wolfgang Srb, President of the
CMS/FIM, Giuseppe Luongo, President of Youthstream, and Takanao Tsubouchi, MSMA Secretary General, in a meeting in Fermo (Italy), on 10 September last, unanimously decided the following changes to the FIM Motocross World Championships Regulations.

Sporting Regulations
1. Art. 01.5.8 Practice / Practice restrictions
The article is deleted.
2. Art. 01.2.8 Rider apparel (Team shirts for the FIM Motocross of Nations).
- The colour of the jersey will be decided by the FMN (National Federation).
- The upper (visible) half of the jersey will display the logo(s) of the FMN and/or FMN's sponsor(s) (which
cannot be in conflict with the rider's and his team's sponsors).
- The lower (visible) half of the jersey will display the logo(s) of the teams and riders' sponsor(s).
- The sleeves of the jersey will display the logo(s) of the teams and riders' sponsor(s).
- The back of the jersey will display the rider's name and number.
Technical Regulations
1. Art. 19.01 Weight of motorcycles
- The minimum weights for MX2 motorcycles are:
100cc up to 125cc- 2T: 88 kg
175cc up to 250cc- 4T: 95 kg (formerly 98kg)
- Motorcycles must be presented for weight control at a minimum kerb weight, including a maximum of 1 litre of fuel (kerb weight will include all necessary operating consumables, oil, coolant and equipment).
- The verified weight of a motorcycle shall at no time during the event be below the minimum weight value.
- A 1% tolerance in the weight of the motorcycle after the race is accepted.
