For the third week in a row, Team San Manuel Yamaha's Josh Hill finished on the podium at the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship 17-stop series. The hard-fought second place finish has Hill closing in on the points lead, and maintaining a 2 place spot in the overall points race. Teammate and current Supercross Champ, James Stewart, did not race in San Francisco as he recovered from surgery underwent on Friday to repair a broken scaphoid bone in his right wrist.

Before a crowd of 41,872, at San Francisco's AT&T Park, Hill had an impressive start among the top 5 riders immediately out of the gate. Soon after, Hill was in third when on lap 10, a crash by leader Ryan Dungey allowed Hill to move into second behind Ryan Villapoto. The two diced back and forth for position in several corners of the slick, technical track with Hill finishing second at the chequered flag.

Post-race, an elated Josh Hill had this to say, “I am so happy I am finishing on the podium again! I can't say enough about this new team...Team San Manuel Yamaha has done nothing but help me get to where I am and where I am going. Especially since it's been a tough week for the team with James out and all...I wanted to do my best tonight!”
