2003 ZX12r - Transmission ... she gone !!
I picked up a ZX12 - 2003, got it running then started working on all the little bits. New tires, fuel pump, front for seals .. Wel I got ahead of myself ... Went to take it out for the maiden voyage and ... won't go into gear.
I have the guys at Schnitz racing looking at it ...
- Clutch basket - bad
- 1, 3, 4, 5 gears - bad
- gears on the crank shaft - Bad
- Shift forks - bad
You get the picture... However, all is not lost .. I have another ZX12 - 2000 that I have for parts.
Is the crank, gears etc interchangeable on a 2000 - considered Gen 1 , right ?
Compatible with 2003 - Considered Gen 2???

I cannot comment on the interchangeability of 2000 / 2003 transmission / crank parts. However, you will have some great options for your transmission here...

I have the billet (Windowless) 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears in my 12.
