Brake questions

Hi all, long long time since I've been here, still have my fastest silver 2k 12R with 110k km on the clock. She moved across the country recently, sadly on an open trailer in an April salt and rainy move. Brake pistons appear to be rusted as I was going to rebuild them. I know some people have done brake upgrades over the years but damned if I can find any info what everyone was switching to.

Might start looking for used calipers that will work as the pistons alone are about $800 Canuckian dollars for front and rear.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks

And I see there must of been a merger of Bikeland and Dale's site ZX12R.org?

No merger! Sacrilege!

Freek dealt with this his calipers got gobbled up by whatever they put on the roads...

I just got some used units in good shape. For all us high-mileage crazies, there are 10 Starbucks queens that are still looking like new.

Otherwise you can definitely get caliper rebuild kits for well less than that. Sounds like dealer prices.
