Deals Gap 2009
Is there anything in the works for 2009?
Just curious as a couple of us are traveling down for the first week of June.

I usually meet a few folks there for around the same time period I'll post up as well.
I try to make it to DG 2-3 times a year but I like the local roads in NC for real riding too

The roads in NC are just as, if not nicer than in Tenn. If for no other reason than the people and certainly the police are more welcoming and accommodating. I think the Tenn police are going to be the death of that riding area.

From What I hear Makenna, is bringing down a shit load of good Canadian Beer and Whisky and is going to have quite the party.
I even here anyone driving a 14 gets all they can drink…
He will even give up his own room in his cottage if they need it (he is bringing water wings just in case he needs to sleep in the hot tub).

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!
Taking my 2nd annual trip there the third week of May 2009 with my ZX14 crew, we always have a blast on our rides, hit the strip clubs in KY etc.. We prefer stay on the NC side but all the roads in the Deals Gap area are perfect. Can't say I'm a big fan of the Dragon, especially on a 14. I prefer the Foothills, Skyway and the Smokey Mountains.

Hmmmm, color me interested. I'm about 6 hrs ride away, depending on what date I'd be up for doing the Gap.

You would know since you are in the same cottage...
I'll share my beer with another 14 rider for sure....and one 650R rider too..
The only room in the cottage I am willing to give up though is yours....
As for the Hot Tub...Many an hour will be spent in it after a long day riding...That is until you get in it and push all the water out...
We all need to get out for coffee soon....

The Gap
Hey, Our group will be in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area during the first weekend in June. Some of us will ride the Gap while there, and will be heading north on the Blue Ridge on Saturday. Give me a yell back and we may run into each other while there. MRUNY

Just got back, stayed at the "Two Wheel Inn" in Robbinsville N.C.for three days. Did the Tail of the Dragon, Cherola Skyway and Blue Ridge Parkway multiple times. The 14 performed flawlessly. What a blast, 3 days 1500 miles, ok I'm tired now, later.
