why is this thread only stickied in the deal's gap forum and the ZX12 forum? I don't see it in 14 or smackhouse but in two other forums? maybe i'm losing it....

usually the people that are interested in this rally stick in this forum, the 12 forum or the smachhouse..thats why you wont find it in the others.

This thread was more of a question to the "regulars" than a solicitation to put together a full blow event. Not that it wouldn't be open to any and everyone, the DG get togethers have become a lot more casual over the years. I didn't put it in the Smack House to just keep halfway on topic. I didn't really think about the 14 folks, though again, they'd be welcome as well, I figured they'd want to put together their own, more formal event.
Even calling it "DG XIII" is kind of a misnomer, since I agree with the others on N GA. I'd be just as happy if we got together and didn't ride the dragon once during the whole week. The dragon was fun the first few dozen times and was okay after the first 50 times or so. For me, when staying in Townsend, it's became more of a "inconvenience" that has to be experienced just to get to other great roads.
I can not stress enough that I'm not trying to be "exclusive" or leave any "group" (or bike brand) out, but again, I'd hope the new owners of the 14s put together a more formal and planned event, ala DG I ~ DG VI, Most of the old Smack House crew (the original DG'ers - not the forum) have become too laid back (for good reasons) to put together a full blown, organized event again,

To all of the SmackHouse crew, let me know the dates of the event and the location and Melissa and i will meet up with all of you for a day or so. It has been a while since i been on a bike put i can still drink cold beer with the best of them. Shern, Abby will need to sleep with you it has been a while, you know what i am talking about.

Thanks redelk for making it clear to me, hopefully I didn't come across as complaining. I don't own a 14 anymore, and my rides are hardly ever formal. I just enjoy both meeting motorcycle enthusiasts/riding the twisties per those pics I posted above. Apologies if I got off topic mentioning the different forums, I originally saw this in the deals gap forum then the ZX12 forum

I couldn't make it this year due to work. Hopefully i can hook up with some folks and ride next year.Especially my ninjabitch from dyersburg!

Harry, I will be making the trip From El paso, if Rick wants to go, all he needs to do is let me know, and I will swing up and pick him up. I would love to get the whole crew back up there, and I am with Sherm, I have ridden the gap many, many times, I would much rather ride the roads of N. GA. So I guess calling it the "DG" rally is a misnomer. I guess it should become the "Bikeland Rally" I would love to see all types of bikes there, that was one thing I liked about the ZRXOA rallies is that there were lots of bikes from ZX9's, Z1000's, my ZX10, and a dozen other types of bikes.
Steve, everyone is welcome with this group, they are a great bunch of guys and really like to ride. As long as one presents himself in a reasonable manner to them they are very receptive to anyone. We have had only a few issues with people in the past. Those individuals dont usually get asked back, but I am sure would not be shunned if they did show up. As far as what bike you are riding, it doesnt matter. Hell if you didnt have a bike you would still be welcome, but you would be lonely during the day.....lol
so lets here from some of you, what do you think as far as having a Bikeland Rally, in N.GA.?

Brett?
Roger?
Dan?
Brian? I know its a long ride, but you would be welcome to carpool with me, and Rick if he wanted to do that?

I know that Brett has a buddy Bill that lives in northern ATL that will prolly show up on one of his cool ass old scoots...maybe his intercooled GPZ750 or one of his other bikes.
how about some feed back from some of you? and tenative dates in May that would be good for you. I will prolly make it a 10 day thing to cover 2 weekends and drive time.

Yes sir, count me in as interested. I appreciate your consideration. I'm not out to be the fastest or have the baddest bike - I'm all about the ride and meeting folks whether at the track or enjoying twisties with scenery.

Sounds good, I am sure dates wont get finalized for anyone until after the new year. Once its done, then its should be easy. I think as time gets closer, people will start to chiime in. We shall see.

ok my suggestion is over the weekend of the 17th and 18th of May...or the last weekend in May. the 24th and 25th....anyone else have thoughts? The 4th is a race weekend for me I would prefer not to miss it.

Okay.... the poll is now mirrored on 10, 12 & 14 forums, as well as the Smackhouse, DG Rallies and Sportbike forums. If there are any other forums you want it mirrored on, let me know.
You might need to clarify that it might not actually be at Deal's Gap, but in GA instead. That is if thats what ya'll want to do.
