Saltnuts your about an hour north of where I live between Cin, and Cols, Ninja Dude Rob and I are heading down Sunday morning and Otis/Chris is bringing a trailer Sunday morning. I am taking a trailer as well. Rob was talking about his friend maybe going. So I know I won't have room.
But maybe Chris has room on his trailer.
We going down Sunday May 16 th to Friday May 21 st

Thanks all. I have a truck and a trailer. I just wanted to ride down. I havent done that B4. I was thinking it would be a short stay 4 me Probably something like Leave Ohio early 3Am or so on the 21 I would be in Tenn around AM 10:00 and stay till sunday 23 Only 3 days short trip. I will be going back in just a few weeks for a longer stay. Just wanted to try to get in on some of the fun of this trip. I am not sure how the lodging is set up. Worst case I can get a room at the Fontana. The only real problem I can see is I will only have the bike how do I carry the beer for the eve events. Is anyone staying at the crossroads of time campgrounds? I could pack a tent on my back and stay there.

I am stoked for trip. Fresh Pirellis And damm might I add my big bore kaw is looking clean. 
Looks like This Saturday its going to be 80 degrees, Damm fine temp to break in some tires.
Looking forward to a good time

hey Salt we usually stay in Townsend TN, near Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge...then ride to the gap from there. We all have cabins or hotel rooms right near each other in Townsend. There are hotell rooms available within a mile or so of the cabins, or ya might find someone that has an open couch in a cabin....Just ask around.....hope to see ya there....

Thanks guys. I will be riding down Friday early morn 21st. Staying till sun the 23rd. I have a friend that is going to ride the trip also. So I will probably have to rent a room. Is townsend the place to stay? I will try to get a room near you all. I would like to stay near all of the evening events. If someone has a cabin with room 4 two more guys let me know. I am sure that me and the other dood can sleep on floor or anyplace. I will split the rental fees and so will he. Let me know if not thats ok. I dont want to put anyone out. Thanks all btw I will Email ya my ##

Saltynuts,
Most of the guys coming down are staying from Sunday the 16th through the 21st and then heading home. Some may be staying til the 23rd though, I'm just not sure who. There is a Best Western in Townsend that is real nice to stay at. I reckon we should all post up as to how long we are staying in Townsend. I live here, but I'm staying in the cabins from Sunday til Friday. I may do some riding on the 22nd and 23rd, it just depends. The weekends are always heavy with traffic and cops around the gap. If possible, try and come down sometime between the 16th and 21st. It is a priceless experience to be around these smack talkers!
