Derestricted H2...43HP gain

Guhl finally got a chance to try out a flash on a H2 ECU yesterday. Gained 43 hp.

The bike is running stock headers with the cat removed and replaced with a link pipe into an Akro slip on for a ZX10. Also had a DNA air filter and was running 93 pump gas.

BTW this dyno is notoriously low. Derestricted and tuned ZX10s run in the 170s and zx14s in the 190s on it. It showed a preflash baseline of a 183hp for the H2

The ECU flash derestricted the throttle, upped the redline from 13,000 to 13,800, turned off the noise abatement functions, air valve, exhaust servo, o2 sensor, etc. Tuned the fuel.

Unfortunately while predelivery several people promised to bring in their bikes stock to run a baseline and then with a pipe etc. no one was actually willing to take the time to do methodical comparative runs with stock vs aftermarket filter and/or pipe so far.

Here is a video done by the bike owners son. I not really sure how they arrived at their HP numbers. The bike definitely gained 40+ hp but saying that works out to 258 bhp is kind of a guess. Don Guhl is not claiming that number.

Ultimate numbers don't really convey much. What's exciting is the amount of change. And yes, unfortunate that he wasn't able to start with a completely stock bike.
