yeah that struck me as really odd too. slip of the tongue? or a marketing guy doing the presentation that isn't exactly well educated on such "details"? i'd be surprised if Kaw broke from common vernacular that hard. such blatant misleading would piss off alot of riders I think.

Hey good to see you K Bryant!! I've got my confirmation letter from KMC for an H2. Supposedly shipping sometime after the start of the year...if you still need to look at one maybe we can make arrangements. But you should have a much larger population of H2s down there in any case.

Thanx and congrats. Been up close and personal already. And yes, there will be one or two in SoCal....

More correctly, CFRP is Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer. Plastic is a Polymer as are the epoxy resins used in pre-preg, injection mold, and wet-layup Composite structures. In high strength structural components composed of multiple layers of (pre-preg) Carbon, Glass, Kevlar, etc. there is less of the polymer and more of the base fiber. In a CFRP component there is less of the (expensive) fiber and more of the epoxy or polymer. Early C1-C3 Corvettes were wet layup fiberglass, as composite technology progressed into the C4's and 5's the material became SMC or Sheet Molded Composite which was (Plastic) Polymer infused with random glass fibers for strength. The newest C7's use CFRP extensively because of it's STRENGTH and LIGHT WEIGHT. It is not like the Revelle models that Gunner builds every day. It is a very appropriate and beautiful solution to the bodywork on the H2.

I was pretty close to dropping the dime, but I think I need to see one. Did you move to Idaho Larry?
Kerry, you know I've "doing Airplanes" (Carbon Fiber ones) since 2004. Hard to keep deeply
involved in more than one thing.......I'll be looking forward to what you have to say about he H2. I've really loved all the intro hype.

Doug - I figured you were still doing the Airplane thing. We've been operating two facilities on opposite ends of the coast (FL & CA). We've expanded our CA facility to include a state-of-the-art all wheel drive car dyno & dyno room. We'll be moving back to SoCal in Jan/Feb to keep everything moving forward in one location. Trying to be two places at once is definetly an adventure....
Swft - Sorry to jack your Thread a little. Interesting about your place. My oldest son drove out and spent a week investigating moving to Montana and/or Wyoming. Beautiful possibilities out there.
We'll keep you posted once the R&D starts on a production bike for the "one-offs". You never know, if there is enough demand, sure we can tool-up and make them. Obviously the bike is in desperate need of an exhaust. I'm still trying to take-in that monster car muffler that is on there. But it is nothing short of amazing on how well it performs and passes emissions. Got to give them major props on that aspect of it. Would love to have one, but I think I have enough toys for now.... I actually just picked up a once-in-a-lifetime find (for me) - 2007 ZX10 with 1240 miles on it. It is absolutely showroom brand new. Not mint. Litterly brand new! Even still has the shipping crate with it. Has a bunch of accessories that were never installed as well that are still in boxes. I mean, it still has the cosmaline all over the engine, frame, etc. Stored in A/C garage, covered, and up on stands since 2007. Not sure what I'm going to do with it (I still have my '04 ZX10). Really interesting story behind it. But I've probably jacked your thread enough already!

No worries, great to catch up on things! That's exciting to hear about how business is growing for you, glad to hear that! Yah, that muffler is hugly alright - huge and ugly! But considering how loud the H2R is, understandable.
