All H2 Promo videos here - updated daily
Kaw is releasing these every couple days ago. Tiny snippets working to build excitement I presume.
First vid gives us nothing except a faint profile of the gas tank, which at least does suggest a sport oriented bike.
Second video extends that suggestion with a decidedly sporty sound clip.

No info on the bike at all.
Could have made for a cool Kaw history bit but they didn't really give much info (there are times when a picture is NOT worth 1000 words).
I'm a bit worried about this whole build on years of cross-industry expertise shtick is gonna turn into "saab - built by jets" type marketing poppycock (even if the bike itself is good). I'm rather hoping they dazzle my (not so) inner nerd by doing something exceptionally cool that justifies the rhetoric though.

Dude. .. did you say "poppycock"?? WTF - are you like 80 or something? I have to force my auto correct to even accept that. It keeps trying to correct it to poppy cocktails (which sound pretty good)

I'm hoping the styling is not the usual modern day sport bike.....maybe the zx7r would be cool....or the zx400r .....or maybe the tz750 .....but modern brakes/shocks....ect.

FrEEK,
I believe just the opposite. One of the things that has always fascinated me about Kawasaki as a corporate group is the technical diversity. They make Honda and Yamaha "narrow minded" by comparison. All that stuff in the video clip- they MAKE THAT (or manufacture under license). I used to tell my customers when they asked why a Kawasaki - "Kawasaki? They make the robots that make the Hondas, and the ships that bring them here and the equipment to clear the land to build their dealerships". I have a few books about KHI and it is an under-appreciated story.

Doug, no question that they span a huge set of markets and the company's technical strengths are very broad... but such diverse segments of a parent company generally won't work together. Lateral thinking implemented by having other disciplines looking at a problem can be incredibly powerful and lead to breakthrough innovation... but IME companies are not exactly good at implementing that concept. Hell, I have a client whose whole business it is to do that FOR companies (helping them with lateral innovation both externally and internally) because they can't figure it out themselves. Which is just to say, that if big K has actually managed to get their subsidiaries together to do something innovative here... I will be that much more impressed. Again, I hope so, but I'm decidedly jaded (not specifically of kaw, but all heavy marketing speak) so am not holding my breath.

I think you would find that not to be so true with KHI.

Very tantalizing look at the full silhouette at the end. Definitely shows supersport intentions. This is clearly not a ZZR or concours or Ninja 1000 replacement as a couple have suggested.

Doug, I sure hope you're proven right. Cause that would be awesome.
In fairness, I'm practically allergic to marketing speak. Call me the radicalized militant conterpart to Dilbert.

Just realized a possible concern with the photo above they provided as part of the vid... is this just a prototype they're showing or is this a race-only model? not seeing a spray guard/plate holder on the back. and appears to be strictly monoposto.

Nothing new about the bike itself. Kinda like the idea of bringing back the old Kaw emblem though. I'm a sucker for (meaningless tho it may be) legacy.

I've been gone at the airplane races for a week and just had a look at the last two vids.
This stuff is so cool I can hardly stand it. Even if the bike falls short, this intro campaign is clearly the best ever done.

Shitty (intentionally, I imagine) video quality and lighting, means this is all the visual info we get out of this vid. Which is almost nothing.

Double yellow on the outside of a road? And that much banking? and clean barrier, and no sign of the other direction of lanes? and that much lighting? (not sure what you mean by "white edge")
