Our very own frEEk has been sporting the "Civilization? what's that?" Mountain Man look for a while and we think that he needs to loose the style ASAP. After failing to convince him of the need to get a haircut for his own good, we came up with something that worked: if the Bikeland community can donate $2000 to UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, he will shave the beard and the hair, with the hair going to Locks of Love foundation to be made into wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illness.
So please take part in our drive and give to this highly rated, registered cancer research charity to help research better treatments, and get some valuable entertainment in return
So far we have raised $2,099.44 towards our $2000 goal (updated daily).
About the Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation (JCCF) JCCF is a public benefit corporation that exists for the express purpose of raising and distributing funds to support leading-edge cancer research at UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC). The JCCF was founded in 1945 by a group of volunteers dedicated to cancer research at UCLA. Their idea, using funds raised from private sources to invest in the work of promising young cancer researchers, resulted in the Seed Grant Program, which has helped the JCCC break new ground in the quest to defeat cancer. Although seed grants remain an important part of JCCF's mission, the Foundation today also supports numerous high-priority, multi-disciplinary cancer research efforts focused on rapidly translating discoveries made in the laboratory into improved screening, treatment and prevention.
About Locks of Love Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling Kerry!
Man, I kinda thought we'd have the goal met in 24 hours...
Like fish said, money goes STRAIGHT to the charity via our campaign. You get your tax deductible receipt and all and don't worry about us hightailing it to Mexico with your donations.
BTW, this is one of those (seemingly few) charities that spends VERY little of their money fundraising (you may be surprised the % of donations that get eaten by fundraising and administration with alot of charities), and the CEO makes a very small salary (I saw cancer charities with CEOs making 300g to damn near 1M a year). This is a very efficient, no BS place to give money to fight cancer.

How about you do a Trackday on your ZX12 in it's current condition. If it's not running, Oliver has to push you around for an entire lap. I'd actually make another donation to see that happen!

Going big. Hit it again. Come on people. I'm not usually a cheer leader on solicting donations, but what a worthwhile cause (in both instances...). We ride some pretty expensive hardware here and this community has to have some disposible income laying around. Big or small, it all adds up very quickly if our membership community ante's up.

lol! I'd need to find a pretty irresponsible tech inspector to get that to happen
Getting there, but still a ways to go. Come on now, I gotta cross the border in less than 2 weeks and this hair is gonna guarantee i'll get seconded again!
