HEY AND A SHOT OF JUICE like you guys are running MID TO LOW 8s KURT ran the same 9 sec times with the stock ECU as the race ECU we switched at the track NO difference in the 1/4 the RACE ecu only raises the rev limit all else is the same and KURT shifts at 8900 so no advantage SO looks like the REFLASH Is the way to go

ONE of the MAX owners has the flashed ECU said he dynoed it to compare and didnt get any more HP it just opens the throttle quicker so it gets rid of the 1st gear bog

Hey I'mSlowToo.............Why doesnt Carpenter put out some performance packages for the Vmax with 1700CC's i would think he could easilt get 250 plus horsepower out of it?

YES BOB has a couple GEN2 MAXES coming in and now there is a chain drive available and a 2050cc kit so its going to get interesting

Your gonna need veeeeerrrryyyyy deeeeeeeeeeep pockets for that chain conversion,if i remmeber right when the gen1 vmx conversions came out they were some 6gs with install !!

THE chain drive bikes weight is under 500lbs and there is the new TURBO kit produced by HOLESHOT in the UK 600hp thats going to be an exciting combination and its a STREETBIKE

Art no need to post stuff about bob .. We all knew all to well that bob was a strange guy .. Nobody here cared for him ..He no longer has a Vmax so we don't need to keep hearing about him ..Now if you have some good info about the Vmax post it up , if it's just about bob don't ..

I went to my once a year deal to the strip yesterday on a 2009 V max we have been working on the last year. The engine is totally stock internally.
The air was good, but we had a wicked cross wind that killed me up top.
I went 9.33 @ 144 on motor
Then with a dry 50 shot went 9.00 @ 153 on the 800 lbs beast
That was after all day of tuning all the set up of course being its first time out with a updated ECU and NOS.

YEP someone else sends me the BAD MAX info and i have people asking about his connections with STARVMAX and VMAX GURU being a convicted felon and super scammer as it seems hes deeply involved with both

Having to use a wheely bar to get into the 8s is a shame seening we all have seen no bar bikes run in the 7s ... Stock for stock , mod for mod the Vmax is way behind any sport bike on the market ..Yamaha had a good idea but dropped the ball by making it 180+ pounds to heavy ...I talked to the FL sale rep from Yamaha two weeks ago and he said they only sold a total of 1700 Vmaxs for 09 ...He said all 2010 Vmax were order only, meaning no dealer get one unless it's sold first ..
Cool bike ? Yes it is ....But weighs to much ,19k MSRP and the price to mod it is way to costly ..
HEY the MAX is a cruiser and like i said before it is more than a match for any sport bike in the 1/4 mile stock and yes they are to expensive but cheaper than a lot of HARLEYS and our local dealer has 2 new maxes on the floor for sale its heavier than the sport bikes but it is 1700cc

HEY SMOKE you care or you wouldnt have been out there drag racing one so do all the zx14 ,BUSA ,spotbike owners that were beaten at ATCO and on the street around our area AND the MAX guys are just starting to get it together tuning the big beasts and they will go even faster and quicker and so far all the engines are STOCK

I would love to have one of these to mod...but I have only average credit since my divorce. If I could finance one decently, I would buy it in a heartbeat...and give it the lightweight treatment!!
