Any VMax's going to Maxton ?
one of the machines should be able to set production record
2000 CC Records
3182 P/P-2000/4 Forstall & Deluca Mark DeLuca Sep-07 204.2
or a naked modified record
2000 CC NON-Pushrod Records
9244 M/G-2000/4 O' Man Racing Josh Owen Sep-07 200.552
Both of these records were set with smaller motors , so it shoudl be easy.
OK , to help y'all out , I got a 100 bucks for any VMax that can beat my 67 camaro ( 195.7 mph in the books , maybe faster this weekend )

I saw a Triumph Rocket run 175 mph and that is a really big bike... But no VMAX's showed up for the land speed trials.

maybe wild bros will bring there v-max this year. Didn't wild bill blow up his busa at maxton this weekend read that on another forum i could be wrong???

Gears and red line with a race ECU max that thing out at 163 on the dyno...Someones going to have to spend big bucks to regear it for 200 ... It may have a hard time hitting 163 in the wind ..

Well, no one even wants to try :-(
changing 5th & 6th gear may be a cheaper way to go, or a chain conversion. but the camaro just went 199.17 mph, so they have to work harder for the money

There was a vmax at last sep maxton event it was stock i think he told me his best mph was 142xxx. That's a long way off from 199.17.
wrongway you were there last sep right? I was parked next to entropy.

Yes I was ,, but I don't remember any VMaxes ... 'cause my memory aint all that good anymore:-(

I talked to you a little saturday after racing but you probably don't remember 
congrats on the 199.17 with the camaro that thing is moving.

it is a small block 427 with sb2 heads ... went 187 NA and 199 on NOS.

was that limited by gearing ? seems like a 200 hp bike could go faster than that
my naked 14 went 202 mph at Loring

If the goldwing has overhead cams , they would both be in the same naked 2000 cc class.

THE V MAX is limited by gearing and was designed as a street fighter muscle bike and untill someone converts to a chain drive there ts no point in racing top speed
