113 mph in the 1/8th with over 5000ft density altitude on stock clutches with around 200 passes and over 11,000 miles. take your bike a mile high and see how well it traps. that time was nothing done except lowered 1.5'' and strapped. i still have yet to see any proof good or bad of you running a bike. you've got a turbo pig that's still slow as fuck, a stock zx14 that you're scared of, and a couple of buddies who's coat tails you ride around on. i say put up or shut up. you've got nothing and you know it, so you bring absolutely DICK to the table. you might want to go get some sleep so that you don't miss your geriatrics convention in the morning you old fuck. Pretty much the nly upside that i can see when buying the new vmax is that you can go to starvmax.com and get a free handy from one of the other owners feeling down on their luck for being ripped off.

One last thing Turbomark this is not a Vmax site .. You are posting on the zx14 forums ...Incase you didn't know this thread is on bikeland and is not just in the Vmax zone but is mirrored in the zx14 thread ...So no one is coming into the Vmax zone bashing the Vmax , We are right here in zx14.com .. Jump over to zx14.com and see for yourself ..
This is in the Vmax Zone dude. Go back to bikeland go down to Vmax Zone and it will bring you here. This is the area for Vmax post. Look at the top of the page it says Vmax-- Zone .com. Look for yourself.

That explains alot.....why the hell was this thread started in the V-Max zone and brought over here as well? 14 guys have wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more class than this inbred, wife beating, poorly spoken, low IQ Jerry Springer reject with a boatload of anger, a big mouth, and nothing else to offer. Fish, don't clutter up the 14 forum with this trailer trash V-Max crap. So what if the max forum is dead.......let these freaks post to themselves or go somewhere else, no need to mirror this waste of reading on the 14 forum as well

I can't figure out this whole new V-Max concept....

it won't go far on a tank of gas so sport touring is out, it doesn't look as good as the transformer naked 'busa Bking so picking up wiminz is out,

we know it doesn't drag race, and it weighs almost as much as the ship that delivered it.... costs a fortune....

someone help me understand what Yamaha's main objective was in bringing this bike to market?

......... don't take me serious I'm just fishin' for more drama!

The bike was designed to be parked by coffee shops to be bragged about by some owners about how powerful it is and how fast it is. They will brag to people who will believe what they say and have no clue about bikes.
I cant waite for one to come into the local Yamaha dealership so I can go listen to the salesman gloat about the mighty V-Max.

Damn a sign of something close to intelligence has appeared finally. Well Steve, as we know oppinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink. So take a whiff of mine and tell me what you think. The objective is the same as it ever was. Which is to make a Boulevard Cruiser, bet you young boys don't remember that class, that will be the king of stop light to stop light racers. The new version of the Max is still a Boulevard Cruiser, now on steroids! The long wheel base, 1700cc V4 with more horsepower and torque than a stock ZX14, will now open cans of whoopass on any bike produced, that isn't low and stretched. And it can do that from stop light to stop light for sure and will make you hustle after it in the 1/4. 1/8 mile racing is for girls (Bawls) that are afraid of MPH so I will use 1/4 mile as a measurement. And that's just the plain truth. I know you are aware of this, I responded to you for others to read. Most of these guys were still sucking the tit for milk in 1985 when the first Max was released.

I dont hang out there but it is next to the Suzuki dealership I work at, I love power crusers myself I have a 1986 besides my ZX14 and it is a stop light to stop light bike as well. Just good for around town as long as there isnt much distance between gas stations. 11 liter tank 130 km than 25 or so on reserve.

Ohhhhh I'm shaking in my shoes now Bawl Bag. I hope to God I never end up in the same place as you for two reasons, Foreskin. One I don't want your hands on my ass, you fag. And two I would have to travel to dream land to get there. And that little half assed job you have is costing me probably 10 cents a day you douche nozzle. I heard from a reliable source that you are cook in the mess hall and the gun you have is the one you piss with.

I loved my 85 Vmax , i had it for two years before i broke second gear .. I replaced the gear and sold it to a friend in England .. I think he still has it !! There was not a single thing i didn't like about that bike .. I had PeeWees poster from Badlands raceway pinned to my wall for years ...Try as i might i could not run the numbers that PeeWee did , i had stacks of 11.0s and very few high 10.s passes ... My best ever was 10.92 , but in 1985 that was fast for a stock bike !! I think i paid right at 5200 bucks , man that was a lot of cash back then for a bike .... My 79 CBX new was only 1800 bucks but i did work for Honda back then so i got a deal on the bike .. The Vmax was the last bike i had till 2005 ...20 years i went bikeless till i got a new zrx1200R and shortly after a new 2005 Busa ..

How is it that the same group of test riders rode the 14 at intro and then the new Max at intro and having the 14 a clear winner can someone say it ain't true? The variable of the rider is removed...........the faster bike is faster....where is the mystery/argument?

I had hoped the new Max woulda brought 1800cc and 200+RWHP to the table, but it didn't..........I'm sticking with the old one for now cuz it's PAID FOR :-)

The new max is a great bike for what it is
I'm not sure if yamaha or the public started the rumour that it was going to be the new dragstrip king, but I think if that was yamaha's true plan it WOULD have been the king. They knew exactly what it was capable of as they were designing and releasing it to the public. I think the last bike that truly lived up to the pre-release hype was the 04 zx-10, and before that the busa. Everything since then seems to get a huge amount of over-hype from everybody, then falls flat on its face in the public eye's when its released. Like I said I think the new max is great for what it is........it just aint king of the world lol
